For the longest time, I have been curating a few different styles of playlists. It’s one of my favorite things to do and I always get a smile when I take a look into my Spotify account. Plus, I listen to music all day every day, so having good playlists is essential for me.

With how much time and effort I spend curating my playlists, I thought it would be interesting to write a blog about how I organize my playlists.

Hopefully, it will inspire some of you to start your own! But I am also selfishly hoping that if…

Life in a Global Pandemic

What a year… What a hard year honestly.

For the last 3 years in a row, I have written two articles around the time of New Year's Eve.

For the first article, I write is a recap of the previous year and everything that happened. Then the second is a list of concrete goals for the next year and what I want to achieve in that year.

While I have taken a lot longer to write my articles for this year, I still wanted to make sure I got around to it eventually.

I think the delay in writing this…

Last week, I posted on my Instagram a few up-and-coming artists that only had a few thousand plays on Spotify and I thought were super underrated. I have always really loved the process of discovering new music, but this way of sharing it out with others was new and exciting for me.

I have decided that I want to keep doing this because of my deep love for music and sharing that passion with others. I’m not sure exactly what this will evolve into [if anything] but for now, here are six artists I really think you should check out!

Every once in a while, I will hear a phrase, topic, or idea that I really want to write a blog post about.

When this happens, I’ll start a new draft in my Medium account to come back to write about later. It could be a few weeks later or it could be months later before I come back to revisit the draft.

This happens to be one of those instances.

I forget when or where I first heard this phrase “sliding, not deciding,” but it is something that really resonates with me. …

Reflecting on Turning 26 [in the middle of a pandemic]

A little over a month ago, I turned 26. What a strange thing for me to say, but here I am and it is time to embrace it.

I was lucky enough to spend the week of my birthday at the Nobu Hotel Los Cabos to celebrate. I have to say, what a great opportunity it was to relax, disconnect, and reflect.

For the last two years, I have been extremely lucky to spend my birthday in Europe attending Tomorrowland and traveling around to different countries with my best friend, so I was very glad to do a little something…

A few months ago, I got my 6th tattoo. I was in Chicago visiting some friends, and while I was there, one of my best friends, Katherine, and I both decided to get tattoos together. [again…]

Katherine and I both grew up in a little town in the middle of Illinois called Normal, Illinois.

You think I’m joking? No... It is literally called Normal.

There wasn’t much of anything notable about growing up in Normal. It had good schools to raise kids, three colleges, and State Farm headquarters. …

My journey into learning about personal finances, budgeting, credit cards, etc., started a few years ago after I began traveling a lot. It might sound like a strange way to get deeply interested in personal finances, but it’s really not that odd.

Traveling a lot turned into optimizing travel credit cards for miles and airline status. Signing up for different credit cards meant I needed to ensure my credit was the best it could be. And throughout the whole journey, I needed to have reasonable budgets set for myself, especially when using multiple credit cards.

In the past few years…

Routine (noun.) a usual or fixed way of doing things

Given the current state of the world and everyone is stuck at home, we are all attempting to adjust to this new way of doing things.

I, like many others, have tried spending this time being more productive and having healthier outlets for spending my time. It certainly hasn’t been easy…

One of the ways I am spending my time is by trying to read more. I recently started a book called “101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think” written by Brianna Wiest.

I wrote this a month ago… But as I tend to do with a lot of the articles I write, I got it 80–90% of the way done and never published it. I was ready to publish at the end of February [February 29th to be exact], but I just never got around to it. And wow it’s crazy to think about how much has changed in just 2 short weeks… My life is COMPLETELY different now. Everyone’s lives are COMPLETELY different.

That being said, I am posting this right now for a very specific reason. I think in the…

Recently, RapidAPI officially launched our latest open-source project, RapidQL! With RapidQL, you can fetch, combine, and aggregate data from multiple APIs and databases all with a single request. This makes it much easier for you to build complex queries that utilize multiple data sources — all with a single query language! Today, we’re going to take a look at an example and how RapidQL simplifies your life as a developer.
